falling barbie/ dead bird & flowers

I'm having quite a lot of fun with this collection. This potholder is also oversized. I paired a plastic doll with a bird that our cat killed last summer. (We tried putting a bell on him but then he ran away for a few days.) Also hollyhocks.

This one is extra large- about 11" x 11". Perfect for grabbing those oversized pots.

Potholder II has a self-portrait on one side and a chipmunk killed by RC on the other. Here it is modeled by Sammy wearing apron with photo pockets.

procrastination potholders

These are fun to make with my fabric scraps. A great way to break from the tedium of sewing together all the Kirby Quilt squares. (Also my quilt group is helping with tthe sewing.) I'm nearly done shooting and printing for the Kirby Quilt. I only have 4 sheets of type 55 left, and onereclusive individual that I'm trying to sweet talk. It's almost impossible to shoot portraits outside with a 4 x5 right now in Vermont. Also to blueprint. Sewing is the order of the season.

Three Christmas photos from the low country. South Carolina has the longest deer season in the country. It starts in August and continues through New Year's. Of course you might opt for duck hunting instead. Either way, it's refreshing to have a pimento cheese sandwhich after you've cleaned up.

I made this bag for my grandmother. After she died my brother ended up snagging it. It came back last summer in a huge bag of discards and hand me downs that his wife sent to me.
